Style of Ball.
The Brisbane New Year Ball is a unique open style of Ball that caters for all ages over 18 that are ready to party. Numbers are limited to 2000.The dress is always Black Tie with the opportunity to be very creative and dress to the theme which this year will be Hollywood.There are a number of party areas with different types of entertainment and atmosphere accessible to everybody. Our main stage will feature Honey and Miles from Nowhere. Two big dining areas exist with comprehensive buffet meals served. Patrons can choose to be entertained by Tuffy or dine with less distraction under the large fig trees outside. Sometimes the buffet queues do extend a little but we have never had any complaints. The ticket price includes all food and drinks. The majority of patrons are aged between 18-50 but all ages attend. It is a great place to meet new friends as there are both couples and singles in attendance. Most drinks are served in cans while the wine and champagne is served in acrylic glasses. Cans can be put in an acrylic holder that can also be used as a glass.

Do we need to buy tickets together to sit together
No. Just sit wherever you like. We have never had complaints in the past. It does get a little crowded at times in the dining areas but patrons tend to enjoy it. There are other areas set aside with tables a little further away without entertainment where patons can have a more dinner party style setting together.

Food Menu.
There is a comprehensive buffet catering for all needs including vegetarian and gluten free. There is sometimes a queue at the buffets but they do move reasonably quickly. Finger food is also taken around throughout the night and there is a station in the main foyer.

Drinks Menu.
(subject to change) Responsible service of alcohol will be a priority. Mid strength will be available. 
Beer - Sponsored by XXXX. Tooheys Extra Dry, XXXX Gold and Hahn Light.
Spirits - Rum, Scotch, Bourbon, Vodka.
Champagne - Houghtons Quills
Wine - Red and White sponsored by Hardy's Wines. 
 Soft Drink and ample water is also included. All bar staff are RSA trained.

Dress.
Black Tie formal or "Hollywood. The Ball is always “Black Tie Formal” but each year the patrons have also enjoyed the option of dressing up in the theme of the night. (ie Superhero, John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe).
There are great prizes for the best Hollywood outfits presented on the main stage about 10pm.

We do not insist on a coat for the males due to the weather and capacity of our cloakroom. Good discounts are available at some places with a Ball ticket. Anna marie and Mr John. Spurling Formal wear. Ferrari Formal wear. Hills in Hollywood.

What if it rains.
No problem. Everything is under cover. Our plan B is to swing the outside area on the otherside of the Pavilions and there is a huge covered area.

Passouts.
These are available after the first hour.

Smoking.
There will be a designated area on the Jubilee Hotel side of the venue so that smokers can watch the main stage.

Refunds.
Refunds will not be given unless there are extenuating circumstances. Patrons are encouraged to on sell unwanted tickets as this has worked well in the past. Cloakroom and Lost Property.
Available throughout the night . Coat storage may be limited if staff are inundated. Don’t forget to collect everything after the Ball! For lost property after the ball, please contact the Committee.
